NAMPA, Idaho — The Baker/Powder Valley girls wrestling team placed 10th out of 57 schools after the first day of the Jaybird Memorial tournament Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10 and 11 at Columbia High School.

Marli Lind was the top individual for the Bulldogs, placing third. Her only loss was in a semifinal match to Elise Twait of Meridian, who is unbeaten this season and won the individual championship at 152 pounds.

Kate Norton placed sixth at 152.

Baker had 92 points. La Grande won the team title with 189.
