Former BHS basketball star Jozie Ramos in starting lineup as sophomore at Oregon Institute of Technology

Sophomore Jozie Ramos, a 2023 Baker High School graduate and 2023 Oregon Class 4A player of the year, is a starter on the Oregon Institute of Technology hoops team.

KLAMATH FALLS — Former Baker High School basketball star Jozie Ramos is part of the starting five in her sophomore season at the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls.

Ramos, a 2023 BHS graduate who led the Bulldogs to the Class 4A state title in March 2023 and was named Class 4A player of the year, has started all five games this season for the Hustlin’ Owls, who are 3-2.

She is the team’s third-leading scorer, averaging 11 points per game. Ramos also ranks third in rebounds, with 6.4 per game, and she is shooting 51% from the field and 73% from the free throw line.

As a freshman, Ramos played in all 32 games, starting four, and was third in scoring with 8.2 points per game. She led all Owls with more than 30 field goal attempts with a 51% shooting percentage.

Ramos scored more than 1,400 points during her BHS career.
