BAKER CITY — Lizzie No is heading west almost exactly a year since she first played at Churchill School in Baker City.
“It’s becoming a nice tradition,” she said of her West Coast tour.
Her concert is Saturday, Feb. 22, at Churchill, 3451 Broadway St. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $18 in advance at churchillbaker.com or $25 at the door.
Kasey Anderson, who released “To the Places We Lived” in October 2024, opens the show.
Lizzie grew up in New Jersey, and studied comparative literature at Stanford. But songwriting called, and her first tour was in 2015. She now lives in Nashville.
She released her first album, “Hard Won” in 2017, followed by “Vanity” in 2019 and “Halfsies” in 2024.
She toured her newest record in the United States and Europe last year, including duo shows with Will Green on guitar across Europe in the fall of 2024.
She and Green will play as a duo in Baker City.
“It became its own really dynamic thing and I’m excited to bring it to Churchill,” she said.
And she’s bringing her harp.
“The harp is what makes my show different,” she said.
She released a live album “Commie Country” in late January.
“It’s remixed and reimagined songs from my catalog,” she said.
“Commie Country” is available on streaming services, and half of the songs are live videos on YouTube.
“You can see the extended director’s cut,” she said.
She’s a prolific writer, and is working on another studio album.
“By the time I have an album out, I have another mostly written,” she said.
As for 2025? She’s focusing on joy.
“Joy first for 2025,” she said. “It’s all about adventure, sharing art and being joyful.”
