The Baker/Powder Valley girls wrestling team won the team title at the Elgin Memorial Classic tournament Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20 and 21.

The Bulldog boys placed seventh.

In the girls meet, the Bulldogs won the team title with 116 points, and had two individual champions: Lilly Collins at 130-135 pounds, and Marli Lind at 155-170.

Three Bulldogs placed second in their division: Tessa Garrick at 105-110, Taryn Niday at 130-135, and Madison Meyer at 190-235.

Heppner/Ione was second in the team standings with 57 points.

Baker/Powder Valley finished seventh in the boys standings with 82.5 points. Weiser won the team title with 207 points.

Senior Aldo Duran won his fourth straight individual title at the Elgin tournament, at 126 pounds. Roman Zickgraf was second at 144.

Daniel Maldonado was fourth at 150 pounds, Anastacio Rodriguez was fourth at 126, and Wyatt Valentine placed fourth at 120.
