BAKER/POWDER VALLEY SWIMMING: Bulldogs compete at Ravens Invite in Redmond

REDMOND — Several Baker/Powder Valley swimmers placed in the top 10 in their events at the Ravens Invite meet on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Cascade Swim Center in Redmond.

“There were 180 athletes at this meet and four teams were from (Class) 5A schools,” Baker coach Codie Weatherby said. “Extremely proud of how the team held their own with highly competitive teams and the sportsmanship they showed during the meet.”

The meet was in a pool 25 meters long, slightly longer than the usual 25 yards, so swimmers’ times aren’t comparable to the previous event at Sam-O Swim Center, Weatherby said.

Baker/Powder Valley will compete in the La Grande Invite on Saturday, Dec. 21, starting at 8 a.m. at Veterans Community Pool.
