BAKER FOOTBALL: Bulldogs recognize seniors before loss to Gladstone

The Baker football team finished its home schedule Friday, Oct. 25, with a 54-0 loss to Gladstone at Baker Bulldog Memorial Stadium.

Baker seniors were honored before kickoff.

Baker, which is missing several starters due to injury, concludes its season by traveling to Prineville to play Crook County on Friday, Nov. 1.

In the loss to Gladstone, freshman quarterback Tucker Reid passed for 52 yards.  Quin Wellman had a 32-yard completion to Hayden Churchfield, who led the Bulldogs with four catches for 75 yards.

Wellman also had seven carries for 27 yards. Jimmy Sullivan rushed for 19 yards.

Defensively, four Bulldogs had four tackles — Daniel Maldonado, Colton Luschen and Christopher Entrekin. Maldonado and Luschen each had a tackle for loss, as did Logan Crawford.

Volleyball

Powder Valley rallied from a 2-0 set deficit to beat Joseph in the Old Oregon League district tournament at Baker High School.

Powder won 22-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-13, 15-10.
