In the girls race, La Grande’s Brooke Perry was first in 22:1.01.
Pine Eagle freshman Lindsey Brown was second in 22:39.33.
Kaaen was fourth in 25:08.42, Rasmussen fifth in 25:39.49, and Ruby Heriza was seventh in 26:20.40.
Baker won the team title with 34 points, one ahead of Imbler.
Baker coach Suzy Cole said the meet at Mount Emily was quite different from the previous meet, at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, on Oct. 3.
“The Ontario course was flat and fast,” Cole said. “There was nothing flat, or fast, about this course but it was beautiful and a lot of fun. It was a challenge for many of the newer runners but they ran hard and I believe surprised themselves in how tough they are. Ruby Heriza and Jarrin Bott both had great races. Sofie Kaaen also had probably her best race of the year as. We are getting more confident every meet.”
Baker will compete in the Bugtown Invite on Thursday, Oct. 17, in Caldwell, Idaho, the last meet before the Greater Oregon League district championship meet on Oct. 30 at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Baker City.
