POWDER VALLEY VOLLEYBALL: Badgers beat Union, take sole first place in Old Oregon League

NORTH POWDER — The Powder Valley volleyball team beat Union in four sets on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at North Powder, giving the Badgers sole possession of first place in the Old Oregon League.

Powder Valley is 4-0 in league play.

Union dropped to 3-1 and is tied with Cove and Imbler for second place.

Powder Valley dropped the first set, 27-25, then won three straight, 25-22, 25-8, 25-19.

The Badgers, 16-4 overall, have won seven of their last eight matches and are ranked fourth in Class 1A.

Powder Valley continues its stretch of home matches by playing Pine Eagle on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. followed by a nonleague match against Adrian on Friday, Oct. 4, at noon.
