At this year’s Baker County Fair livestock auction, the 81st annual event, 171 market animals brought in a preliminary grand total of $288,605.55.

While this is the most animals sold at auction in recent years, this year’s preliminary total is just shy of 2015’s record of $299,757.01. However, the OSU Extension office calls this year’s number a “preliminary” total for a reason, as donations are still rolling in.
