JOSEPH — A two-day workshop on abstract painting will be led by Cheryl North Coughlan at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, according to a press release.

The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 26.

The cost is $150.

Coughlan, the director of the Josephy Center, will lead students in covering two 30×30-inch canvases with paint. No experience necessary.

Coughlan will walk students through composition, the color wheel and painting techniques that will enhance their creative process. Students should wear clothes that they don’t mind getting paint on and bring rags, towels, or paper towels — and any inspiration that will help them dive into a creative weekend.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
