Baker High School graduation rate tops state average

Baker High School’s four-year on-time graduate rate exceeded the Oregon average for the 2023-24 school year.

Baker’s graduation of rate of 91.4% (85 of 93 students) also surpassed the school’s rates from the previous two years, of 85.5% and 85.6%.

Statewide, 81.8% of students earned a diploma within four years.

For other districts in Baker or southern Union County:

North Powder

All 18 students in the 2023-24 group graduated on time, matching the 100% rate for the previous year. The rate for 2021-22 was 94.7%.

Pine Eagle

Fourteen of 15 students graduated in four years, a rate of 93.3% for 2023-24. The Pine Eagle Charter School’s rates for the previous year were 71.4% and 85%.

Huntington

Five of six members of the 2023-24 class graduated on time, a rate of 83.3%. That matched the previous year. Huntington’s graduation rate for 2021-22 was 100%.

Burnt River

The school’s on-time graduation rate was 75%, with six of eight students graduating on time. The rate for the previous year was 33.3% (one of three students, and in 2021-22 it was 100%, with two of two students graduating on time.
