The Baker County Republican Central Committee met Wednesday evening, May 1 to discuss the attributes of the Baker County Position 1 commissioner candidates.

In light of the years of volunteer public service, tactful but strong stances on natural resource issues, and a sense of conservative fiscal management, those present and voting endorsed Curtis Martin as the most qualified candidate.

Curtis Martin exemplifies the ability to listen to all opinions based on objective facts of finding, and he evaluates the sources of information without undue influences or favoritism.

Curtis Martin has a vision to energize the local economy by enhancing basic employment opportunities that in turn will support the development of working family housing and the expanded fiscal stability of local businesses.

We ask the citizens of Baker County to join in Curtis Martin’s efforts to strengthen local control to stem the influence by state and federal agencies to impact our Eastern Oregon traditions.
