Hells Canyon Dam is the highest of Idaho Power Company's three dams in Hells Canyon east of Baker City. The others are Oxbow and Brownlee. 

OXBOW — Visitors traveling between Oxbow and Hells Canyon Dam should expect delays of up to 30 minutes through the spring while Idaho Power Company contractors work on the road on the Idaho side of the canyon.

Work is scheduled to begin next week about 12 miles north of Oxbow. An automatic signal will control traffic, and vehicles could be stopped for up to 30 minutes during daytime hours.

Motorists are asked to use extra caution while traveling in the area.
