Baker’s girls golf team didn’t have a full team to play host at the Baker Invitational on Monday, April 17 at Quail Ridge, but the two Bulldogs who played had solid rounds.

Lilly Wilson carded a round of 102, and Gretchen Morgan got around the 18-hole layout in 111 strokes.

“Neither has had a lot of matches this year, so a good one to build on,” Baker coach Mike Long said.

Five schools brought full teams — Burns, Weiser, Cole Valley, La Grande and Pendleton.

Baker, along with Union, Nyssa, Vale and Homedale, had individual players but none had the minimum of four players to compete in the team standings.

Cole Valley won the team title with a score of 392, followed by La Grande with 407 and Pendleton with 436.

Cole Valley’s Chloe Singpraseuth won individual medalist honors with a round of 80. Lucy Hickey of Weiser was runner-up at 86.

The Baker boys team will host the Baker Invitational on Monday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at Quail Ridge, 2801 Indiana Ave.
