I met Shane Alderson in late 2020 shortly after he was elected to the Baker City Council. Being chair of the Baker City Budget Board, Shane reached out to me asking for help so that he could better understand the city budget process and city budget. After that two-hour meeting I was very impressed with his willingness to learn and listen.

Over the past two years he has reached out several times seeking my opinion on both city and county issues. Shane prepares for any and all meetings, including City Council meetings, researches the issues, does his diligence and will be an informed decisionmaker. Every day Shane Alderson will get up, go to work, listen to the citizens, ask for help if needed and work hard for the citizens of this great county.
