The Baker/Powder Valley/Pine Eagle softball team couldn’t pin the first loss of the season on the top-ranked La Grande Tigers in a doubleheader Friday, May 2, at the Sports Complex.
La Grande won the first game 11-0 and the second 14-3.
In the opener, La Grande ace Carlee Strand allowed only one hit, by Raegan Gulick, to earn the win.
The Bulldogs had seven hits in the second game, including four off starter Kallyn Harnack, but the Tigers were too much offensively.
Gulick was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Reagan Ritter also had an RBI.
La Grande improved to 21-0 on the season, 8-0 in the Greater Oregon League.
