BAKER/POWDER VALLEY/PINE EAGLE SOFTBALL: Reagan Ritter throws no-hitter as Bulldogs rout Enterprise/Joseph/Wallowa 13-1

Colbi Bachman and Kate Nilsen both hit home runs, and Reagan Ritter threw a no-hitter and struck out 11 as the Baker/Powder Valley/Pine Eagle softball team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 13-1 rout over Enterprise/Joseph/Wallowa in five innings on Tuesday, April 22, at the Sports Complex.
The Bulldogs started fast, taking a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Bachman led off, stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball and then scored on Raegan Gulick’s groundout.
Maylee Martin stole home, and Macey Morgan scored on a wild pitch for the other runs.
After a scoreless second, the Bulldogs plated eight runs in the third. Nilsen had a three-run homer, and Bachman had a two-run shot later in the inning. Gulick drove in a run with a single, and Jaxyn Ramos singled to drive in two runs and boost the lead to 11-0.
Bachman was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Nilsen was 2 for 2 with three RBIs, and Gulick and Ramos each had two RBIs.
Baker continues a five-game homestand by playing host to Ontario in a Greater Oregon League doubleheader Friday, April 25, starting at 2 p.m. at the Sports Complex.
