BAKER TENNIS: Bulldogs win 13 of 16 matches at Mac-Hi

MILTON-FREEWATER — The Baker boys won five of six matches and the girls eight of 10 matches against Mac-Hi in a district tennis match Tuesday, April 15, at Milton-Freewater.

Baker’s number one girls singles player, Liz Timm, beat Avery Lewis in straight sets, the second finishing in a tiebreaker which Timm won 7-4.

Baker’s top boys doubles team, brothers Jacob and Weston Burton, rallied from a 7-5 loss in the first set to win the second set 6-0 and the tiebreaker 10-7.

Simon De Frutos Casado lost to Lukas Schmuddle, 6-1, 6-3

Zayne Hills beat Zach Lamb, 6-2, 6-1

Hasen Hellberg beat Michael Wolden, 8-5

Weston Burton/Jacob Burton beat Diego Ledesma/Bryan Martinez, 5-7, 6-0 (3rd set TB 10-7)

Theo Pepera/Gabe Schwartz beat Jesus Ledezma/Luis Ledezma, 6-1, 6-0

Orrin Anderson/Mercy Omidele beat Angel Cisneros/Edwin Uruela, 8-6

Bel Cunningham beat Norma Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-0

Abby Cunningham beat Bryanna Ochoa, 8-0

Sophia Ward lost to Kayshaya Denham, 6-0

Jailey Ford/Anne Hindman lost to Adelyn Lewis/Avery Lewis, 9-8 (TB, 8-6)
