ONTARIO — The Baker boys and girls track and field teams placed first in a three-way meet against Ontario and Vale on Tuesday, April 8, at Ontario High School.

Baker girls individual champions included freshman Kate Norton, who won the shot put and discus and was second in the javelin, Meren Jesenko, who won the girls 300-meter hurdles, Sofie Kaaen, who won the girls 1,500 and pole vault, Sammy Gressley in the 400 and long jump, and Reese Roys in the triple jump.

In the boys meet, Quin Wellman won the javelin, Henry Gaslin won the high jump, Gabriel McBride won the pole vault, Gavin Combs was first in the long jump, Kane Hellberg won the triple jump, Jack Joseph won the 300 and 110 hurdles, Daniel Brown won the 1,500, and the 4×100 relay team of Henry Kamerdula, Gavin Combs, Lance Downing and Wayland Thomas won its race.
