BAKER GIRLS GOLF: Bulldogs place third at Pendleton tournament

MISSION — Seniors Lilly Wilson and Ashlyn Dalton both shot rounds of 102 to tie for seventh place in the individual standings, and the Baker girls golf team placed third at the Nels Nelson Invitational tournament Monday, April 7, at Wildhorse Golf Course near Pendleton.

Brooklyn Rayl carded a 103 and finished ninth, and Jocelyn Bork was 19th with a round of 114.

Baker’s team total of 421 was just one stroke behind runner-up Pendleton. Hanford won the team title at 397.

Baker was seven strokes ahead of fourth-place La Grande.

Jayson has worked at the Baker City Herald since November 1992, starting as a reporter. He has been editor since December 2007. He graduated from the University of Oregon Journalism School in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in news-editorial journalism.
