Being one of the 30% of Baker County electorates or (quoting a sexual abusing convict) one of those “radical left lunatics” that chose not to put a twice impeached con man in our highest office of government I am curious as to how much improved the lives are of the 70% that thought it was such a great idea? Is that adrenaline rush and euphoria still there? 70% is a huge number. A whole bunch of farmers, ranchers, Forest Service, BLM, fish and wildlife, educators, fixed income retirees, small business owners, firefighters .. an endless list of Eastern Oregon occupations chose to ignore the history of a madman, although the one I find most confusing is “Veterans for Trump,” the actual definition of oxymoron.
Is that feeling of victory still burning deep? Did you applaud the release of the violent treasonous mob that attacked and killed law enforcement and defiled our nation’s capitol? You must be thrilled that we are finally standing beside Russia and Putin. If only Zelenskyy had been more grateful, like those starving people around the globe that depended on our aid to live … not once did any of those ungrateful emaciated children say thank you. Farmers/ranchers how are those tariffs working out for you? You must be extremely grateful for Elon Musk, definitely the right guy to fix up your Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. Should we talk about your retirement savings?
Can the destruction of our global reputation get any worse? The local 70% that enabled him are the ones to answer, the 30%? We just shake our heads at a situation that defies logic!
But hey! On the bright side our government is finally deporting those illegal fruit pickers/farm workers and our Eastern Oregon bathrooms will be safe from all those gays and transgender “human beings.” By the way, have you checked out food and gas prices lately?
