- Three hundred meals of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and rolls were given away Nov. 26, 2024 at the Baker City Albertsons store. Money for the meals was raised through a Turkey Bucks donation program at Albertsons and Safeway.
The Turkey Bucks program at Baker City’s Safeway and Albertsons stores, which asked shoppers to round up their bills, raised $16,000 to provide Thanksgiving meals to local residents.
