The Virtue Flat Shooting Range near Baker City will be open to the public for free on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so hunters can sight in their rifles.
Help will be available for people who need it to get their rifle sighted in.
In addition, representatives from the Oregon Non-Lead Hunting Ammunition Program will be at the range to let people test non-lead ammunition in their rifles. People who participate in the test will be entered in a raffle with a chance to win a Benchmade skinning knife with sheath.
Everyone is welcome. More information is available at www.prsportsmen.com/24fun.html.
The Virtue Flat range is just north of Highway 86 about six miles east of Baker City. The entrance is east of the turnoff for the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
