Neither the Albertsons nor the Safeway grocery store in Baker City is among those that Kroger plans to sell as part of its bid to buy Albertsons, which also owns Safeway stores.

The list of 597 stores nationwide includes 186 in Oregon and Washington.

Baker City’s two stores aren’t on that list.

Most of the stores slated for sale are west of the Cascades.

The list includes Safeway stores in The Dalles, Redmond and Bend, and Albertsons stores in Bend and Klamath Falls.
