Boise woman killed in motorcycle crash in Baker County

A Boise woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle died when the motorcycle went off Highway 86 east of Baker City the morning of June 14.
Joan Gayle Moss, 68, died at the scene, according to Oregon State Police.
A preliminary investigation showed that Scott Douglas Moss, 66, of Boise, who was riding the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, failed to make a corner and went off the highway near Milepost 30, about 30 miles east of Baker City in the Powder River Canyon.
The motorcycle continued about 100 feet along the highway shoulder and then went 30 feet down an embankment. Both the rider and passenger were thrown off the motorcycle, which landed partially atop Scott Moss
He was taken by Life Flight to a hospital.
