- A Love's truck stop is slated to open in mid-June east of Interstate 84 near the Campbell Street interchange in Baker City. The business will include an Arby's restaurant.
Love’s Truck Stop and a Maverik gas station and convenience store are slated to open later this summer just east of Interstate 84 in Baker City.
Love’s is near the Campbell Street interchange, exit 304, and Maverik is at the North Baker exit 302.

The business, which also includes a convenience store and Arby’s restaurant, is slated to open in mid June, and managers have been hiring and training the staff of about 60 to 65, said Lauren Daniels, a community relations specialist for Love’s.
“We’re in the process of scheduling a ribbon-cutting ceremony,” Daniels said. “They typically take place a week or two after the store opens.”
The truck stop will be open 24 hours.
Maverik
The station, the company’s second in Baker City (the other is at Campbell and Cedar streets), doesn’t have an opening date.
But Michelle Monson, communications director for Maverik, said the second Baker City location is expected to be open later in the summer.
Monson said the site will include panoramic photos and topographic maps of Oregon along the walls.
“It will feature Maverik’s premium BonFire food made fresh in every Maverik, every day, with fan favorites like burritos, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and many more hot and cold food items,” she said.
The 24-hour station will eventually include truck and RV accommodations.
Monson says they haven’t finalized their grand opening plans, but they will make plans public once construction and hiring are complete.
