There was a time when differing political or ideological views was not a deal breaker as far as my friendships went. It is so damned sad that these last seven years has changed that dynamic dramatically. I now find it extremely difficult. … no, strike that, I find it impossible to justify a friendship or even a civil relationship with anyone that accepts, admires, even idolizes a racist, sexist, self-absorbed television personality and undeniable con man as their preferred leader of our great nation.

It is increasingly mind blowing how anyone could or would continue to support his lies and insanity. He has been found guilty by a jury (chosen with the input of his own lawyers) of sexual abuse. If you read all the “facts” Donald Trump is a “convicted rapist” (no matter how you wish to sugarcoat it). He has been found guilty of fraud. All of his incessant lies about a stolen election have been thoroughly, completely and irrevocably debunked. He remains under indictment for coercion, tax evasion, corruption, insurrection, espionage, obstruction and more crimes, felonies and offenses than humanly imaginable! His lack of respect for our democracy, for you and me, for anyone or anything but himself, his admiration of dictators and authoritarian regimes is unconscionable, despicable and horrifying!

I will accept no excuse, there is no justification on this earth to support a criminal with no redeeming qualities, he thrives and feeds off of hate, division and bigotry. It is beyond discussing or arguing. I would have to remove half my brain to even make it a level playing field. My hand has been forced. All they have is their tiresome “whataboutism.”

Ninety percent of their grievances and perceptions concerning President Joe Biden, Democrats and the state of the union are nothing but more ceaseless lies that have been spoonfed to them by their orange god and his money-hungry cohorts, only to be gobbled up and regurgitated? Have their lives been made miserable and unbearable because of Biden? Please tell me how? Oops, never mind, almost forgot. … I would have to listen to whatever you’ve heard or been told by Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Fox Entertainment or your cult leader himself, because that is way easier than actually researching facts. Maybe it’s those damned illegals pouring over the border? Yah that’s it! But wait, aww shucks. Who, just recently, decided to keep it open? Here’s a clue. It wasn’t Biden.

“Well then, he’s old and a Democrat, so there!” I could continue but everything I have already said and/or might say will change nothing. They have been so blinded by an instilled conception and hate of the word “liberal” or “Democrat” that they are ready to vote for a madman, and democracy be damned! So while their minds are being controlled by others I will draw a line, accept that line, and choose to have nothing to do with anyone on his side. Yet somehow I will always feel sorry for them.
