Jim Lissman: As Jim would have been 90 soon, his family will celebrate his life on Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1995 Fourth St. in Baker City. They will serve German chocolate cake, his favorite, a request he made just days before he passed. Ralph Earl Ward: Memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1995 Fourth St., with Pastor Cyndi Wunder officiating the service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with military honors immediately following the church service. Accident reports

Wednesday, Sept. 27, 12:46 a.m. on Interstate 84, Milepost 296 westbound; noninjury accident.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, 11:48 a.m. in the 1700 block of Valley Avenue; noninjury accident.

Monday, Sept. 25, 6:19 a.m. on Highway 30 near Farewell Bend State Park; a commercial truck traveling west drifted across the eastbound lane and crashed into a fence. According to an Oregon State Police report, the driver, Mitchell Dee Armstrong, 58, of Salinas, Kansas, had a “medical event” which caused the crash. Armstrong was taken by air ambulance to a Boise hospital.
