The fuel station and convenience store on the north side of Campbell Street near the Albertsons grocery store is slated to reopen later this year.

Albertsons owns the property.

The station, which had operated as USA Gas, closed several years ago.

Christian Soltendieck, who works for a sign company in Mount Vernon, Washington, said the store and fuel station will reopen, but that there are no plans to do the same for the car wash that formerly operated on the property.

Soltendieck was the application with the Baker City/County Planning Commission for permits to install new signs for the business.

The store and station are slated to open around the end of November, he said.
