Police investigating poaching of mule deer

- Oregon State Police troopers are investigating the illegal killing of a mule deer doe south of Baker City in late August.
The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s help to identify the person or people responsible for illegally killing a mule deer doe in Baker County and wasting the meat.
On Aug. 29, OSP fish and wildlife troopers responded to a report of a doe that had been shot and left to waste along Highway 245 at the junction with the Stices Gulch Road, about 12 miles south of Baker City.
