Integrative Health & Wellness Center’s grand opening is July 7

Anne Nemec opened her clinic doors four years ago, but this week she’ll have a grand opening to celebrate everything new — including the business name — at Integrative Health & Wellness Center.

“I want to be a community center, a wellness hub,” she said. “I think our community needs this.”

Nemec has been a physical therapist for 25 years, and she specializes in craniosacral therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation, myofascial release and lymphedema treatment. She opened a private practice about 10 years ago, and established her current clinic, 1928 Court Ave., in 2019.

She’ll have a grand opening on Friday, July 7, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors will have a chance to tour the space and meet the new providers.

Although the official name is new, Nemec’s practice remains the same. The main change, she said, is that she no longer accepts commercial insurance, although she does work with Medicare.

Another mainstay is the Baker City Float Center, which is described as a “float cabin” featuring water heated to 95 degrees and saturated with 1,500 pounds of Epsom salts, which creates buoyancy. A session is 75 minutes, and appointments can be booked Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Providers

In addition to Nemec, Kim Jonas continues her business, A Well-Kneaded Massage, at the center.

New providers include Baker Valley Preventive Medicine with Dr. Richard Heriza, Imagine Hypnotics, ORA Reiki (energy healing), Brighids (intuitive healing practice using metaphysical tools such as crystals), and Holistic Healing Nutrition.

Classes

Nemec plans to expand offerings this fall with community education events and a variety of classes, such as pre/post-natal yoga, natural movement, fascial fitness/Pilates and meditation.
