I have known Shane Alderson for approximately 16 years. I was proud to see him in the debate with other candidates County Commissioner Position 3 prior to the primary voting session. He answered questions in a way that reflected the values I see him apply consistently to the rest of his life. Baker County is as important to him as it is to me. This is where we were raised and where we are raising our families. I know Shane will lead with that in mind. He wants Baker County to prosper in a way that allows us to maintain our way of life out here. We have spoken often on the impact of state laws such as Measure 110 as well as those that affect how our communities cope with homelessness and the housing crisis. It is apparent to me that he is equipped to help us meet these challenges in a way that makes sense for our communities with the resources we have and to develop new resources as well.
