Bulldog boys finish 4th

The Baker boys golf team placed fourth at the Baker Invitational Monday at Quail Ridge Golf Course.
Led by Caden Long’s round of 83, good for 6th overall, the Bulldogs had a team score of 364. That was one stroke better than La Grande, and 14 strokes behind third-place Payette.
Baker’s Spencer Smith fired a round of 87. Quinton Myers carded a 96, Jesse Maldonado 98, and Gavin Curry shot a 100.
Fruitland ran away with the team title at 315.
Homedale’s Daniel Uranga was the individual medalist with a round of 69. Homedale finished second as a team at 340.
The Baker girls finished third in their invitational April 22 at Quail Ridge.
Jocelyn Wellman fired an 87 to lead the Bulldogs, who had a team total of 445 to finish behind La Grande (379) and Homedale (393). Wellman tied for third in the individual results.
Vale’s Tiana Allen was the medalist with a round of 83.
