Baker’s tennis teams had a busy weekend on the Ash Grove Courts.

The Bulldogs defeated a small Griswold squad 5-0 on Friday. Baker then split with Pendleton on Saturday, winning the boys match 5-1 but losing the girls match 6-2.

Against Griswold, Gabby Treblecock and Hollie Mays swept the girls singles matches. Paul Nieber, Anthony Cowan and Eli Lien did likewise in the boys singles.

Against Pendleton, Luke Barnes, Lien and Cowan all won their singles matches.

Isaac Nemec and Alex Davila, and Lien and Cowan also swept their doubles matches.

In girls play, Hannah Johnson was Baker’s lone singles winner. Kaylee Dalke and Emma Finley won their doubles match.

Baker hosts Weiser this afternoon and Ontario Friday. Baker coach Dave Johnson said another match also may be scheduled Thursday or Saturday.
