A 5K run fundraiser to benefit the Bingham family will take place this Saturday in Haines.
Lifelong family friend Katie Hubbard, 22, has organized the “Hearts for Binghams 5K Run Fundraiser” as part of her internship project while attending Brigham Young University Idaho.
As of Tuesday morning, Hubbard said 80 people have registered to participate in the run. Not all who have visited the site want to run, but still want to help.
“There are some people who don’t want to run, but have donated money,” Hubbard said.
Runners will travel through the foothills and back roads of Baker Valley to raise money for the Bingham family.
