Robert J. Culley: 74, of Caldwell, Idaho, died Oct. 30, 2017, of natural causes. Arrangements are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapels, Caldwell.
Dolores Roper: 87, a former Baker City resident, died Nov. 1, 2017, at her home in La Grande with her family at her side. There will be a celebration of Dolores’ life from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the La Grande Senior Center, 1504 N. Albany St. Friends are invited to stay for a buffet dinner after the formal part of the celebration.
Joanna Mollert: 82, a former Baker City resident, died Nov. 2, 2017, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center. Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

PROBATION VIOLATION (Baker County detainer): Rhiannon Elizabeth Smithhart, 26, of 1188 Washington Ave., 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, in the 3100 block of 10th Street; jailed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOXICANTS: Justin Taylor Whilhelm, 19, of 2457 Colorado Ave., 12:19 a.m. Thursday, at Dewey Avenue and Grace Street; jailed and later released.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOXICANTS: James Antonio Morehouse, 72,of Vale, 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, on Highway 245, about 25 miles south of Baker City; police said Morehouse was cited and released after investigation of a crash in which his Ford Mustang drove over an embankment on Dooley Mountain. He was taken by Baker ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center after the ambulance crew brought him up from the embankment.
