Shares of stock are now being offered for sale by the Lyle A. Davis Company, Inc. a Baker based company that will engage in the manufacture and sale of frozen foods.
An advertisement on page three of today’s Democrat-Herald indicates that 2,400 shares of stock are to be sold at $10 per share. The processing plant is located at 1920 Court St.

The first paved road, Forest Road 3965, to the rim of Hells Canyon is open. The road is off the Wallowa Mountain segment of the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway, Forest Road 39, which intersects Highway 86 nine miles east of Halfway.

A 6-year-old Baker City boy who has been undergoing treatment for a rare illness that causes paralysis was transferred from a Boise hospital to a Portland hospital Thursday.
Hudson Zednik and his mother, Shakira Zednik, were flown by air ambulance to Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. There Hudson will receive physical therapy to regain use of his arms and legs, his father, Frank Zednik said Thursday.
Hudson has been partially paralyzed since early October when he was flown from the Baker City hospital to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Boise. He has been diagnosed with acute flaccid myelitis.
