Baker completed a perfect 6-0 Greater Oregon League volleyball season Tuesday, defeating Ontario 25-20, 25-12, 21-25, 25-10 in the Baker gym.
Baker had already clinched its second straight GOL title.
In the first game, Baker trailed much of the early going before forcing six ties, the last at 10-10. Jayme Ramos then served two points to give Baker the lead for good.
But Ontario stayed close, pulling within a point three times before Abby Baker served a pair of points to put Baker up 22-18.
Baker increased its lead to as many as five points the rest of the way.
In the second game, Ramos, Baker, Kaylee Burk and Avri Elms combined to serve Baker to a 10-4 cushion.
The Bulldogs then increased their lead to double digits the rest of the way.
Game 3 was close from start to finish before Ontario broke a 19-all tie, going ahead 23-19.
Baker could get no closer than three points after that.
Baker wasn’t to be denied in the fourth game.
Ramos and Baker combined to serve the Bulldogs to a quick 11-1 lead.
Burk then took over, boosting the advantage to 16-2.
Ontario managed to cut the deficit to seven points, but an ace serve by Anna Carter and six service points from Kaeli Flanagan completed the sweep.
Baker swept the non-varsity matches as well. Baker won the JV2 match 25-18, 25-9, and the JV match 25-13, 25-21, 25-13.
The Bulldogs complete their regular season Thursday when they host Pendleton in a nonleague match.
