UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: Diana Catherine Rasmussen, 30, of Ontario, 11:30 a.m. Monday, at Huntington; jailed. Baker County Sheriff Travis Ash said Rasmussen drove to Huntington in a 2000 Mazda Protege belonging to her sister, Danielle Davenport, 34, of Ontario; the vehicle was recovered at Huntington.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOXICANTS, ASSAULT IV, RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON, RECKLESS DRIVING: Jose Marie Moreno Arciga, 27, of Seattle, 12:18 a.m. Sunday, on Interstate 84 at Baker City; jailed and later released; police said the arrest was made after Moreno Arciga’s 2014 Jeep Compass, which reportedly was traveling at a high rate of speed, slammed into the rear of a tractor and semitrailer traveling east in the slow freeway lane. The impact knocked the truck and trailer off the right shoulder of the highway, through a barbed wire fence and up a raised gravel shoulder. Police said the vehicles came to rest on their wheels in the middle of Old Trail Road, which is the frontage road that runs next to the eastbound freeway lanes. Police said the truck driver, Aslan A. Kenzhaev, 27, of Tukwila, Washington, and his passenger, Ezequiel Contreras, 27, of Puyallup,Washington, both were taken by ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center with minor injuries.
