Baker gave up too many multiple-run innings Saturday, losing a Greater Oregon League softball doubleheader 14-5 and 12-4 to Ontario at the Baker Sports Complex.

“We gave up too many big innings and we’re not making the key plays,” said Baker coach Al McCauley.

In Game 1 Ontario scored six runs in the second and third innings to break a 2-2 tie.

Baker (0-4 in the GOL) hit three home runs, but all were solo shots.

Cook and Mosser hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the first inning.

Jordan Rudolph added a solo homer in the sixth. She also has an RBI double.

In the second game, Ontario jumped to a 3-0 first-inning lead and was never threatened.

Baker hosts College Place, Wash., in a nonleague twinbill Tuesday before returning to GOL play by hosting Mac-Hi Thursday.
