Local rodeo riders ranked highly

Several Eastern Oregon rodeo team riders are listed in the latest Oregon High School Rodeo Association state rankings through rodeos in April.

Michelle Williams is ranked first in rookie girls.

Kimberly Williams is second and Samantha Kerns fifth in girls all-around.

Gus McGinn is fifth and Duncan Mackenzie 11th in boys all-around.

Members of the Eastern team are: Kimberly Williams, Michele Williams, Kerns, McGinn, Mackenzie, Lexie Harrell, Haley Miller, Logan Nedrow, Delaney Van Arsdall, Dylan Orr and Matt Siddoway.

Eastern riders ranked are:

• Boys all-around — McGinn, ninth; Mackenzie, 11th.

• Girls all-around — Kimbmerly Williams, second; Kerns, fifth; Michelle Williams, 10th.

• Girls rookie — Michelle Williams, first.

• Tie-down roping — Mackenzie, 11th; McGinn, 17th.

• Steer wrestling — McGinn, third; Siddoway, fourth.

• Barrels — Kerns, fifth; Kimberly Williams, eighth; Michelle Williams, 14th; Miller, 26th; Van Arsdall, 27th.

• Poles — Michelle Williams, third; Kimberly Williams, fourth; Kerns, 18th; Harrell, 22nd; Miller, 26th.

• Breakaway roping — Kimberly Williams, first; Kerns, third; Nedrow, 15th; Harrell, 20th; Michelle Williams, 34th.

• Goats — Kimberly Williams, second; Kerns, seventh; Michelle Williams, 17th.

• Team roping — Duncan Mackenzie, first; Kimberly Williams, 16th; Kerns, 18th; Harrell, 29th; Nedrow, 37th; Orr, 38th; McGinn, 41st; Michelle Williams, 54th.

• Boys cutting — Mackenzie, third.

• Girls cutting — Kimberly Williams, first; Harrell, fourth; Michelle Williams, sixth.
