Baker tennis teams split a league match at La Grande Tuesday, 6-6.

“We had some good matches, and we got it in,” said Baker coach Dave Johnson.

Johnson said the Bulldogs encountered a hard rain storm through Ladd Canyon, and he wondered if they’d be able to play the match.

That was on top of Baker’s match at Vale on Monday being rained out after just three matches were completed.

Against La Grande, Gracie Huggins had Baker’s only girls singles win. The Bulldogs then won three girls doubles matches.

Zack Schwin and John Cunningham won the boys No. 1 and No. 2 singles against the Tigers.

Baker returns to the Ash Grove Complex Friday when the Bulldogs host Ontario.

Baker then hosts La Grande May 2 in a makeup match. The Bulldogs then travel to Weiser May 3 before traveling to Ontario May 6 for sub-district play.
