Mary Adeline Robinson, 79, of Baker City, died Aug. 11, 2010, at Meadowbrook Place assisted living center.

Visitations will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Gray’s West and Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gray’s West and Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Mel Harris of First Lutheran Church will officiate. There will be a reception afterward at the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 1734 Third St.

Mary was born on April 23, 1931, at Stanton, Neb., the second of four daughters born to Charles and Garcia Wessel. She married Bill J. “Pug” Robinson June 2, 1956, at Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Other than a brief period immediately after their marriage, the couple lived their entire married life on the family farm just east of Baker.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and shared Pug’s lifelong interest in preserving, collecting and showing antiques, especially those concerning farm life. She also enjoyed the company of family and friends and loved meeting new people, her family said.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Eva and Rusty Truscott of Davenport, Wash., and Mary and Martin Neske of Haines; six grandchildren, Dan and his wife, Kathleen Shumway, Jason and his wife, April Shumway, and Ty Truscott of Davenport, Wash., Jennifer and her husband, Nate Kennicutt of Spokane, Wash., and Pam and Casey Neske of Haines; seven great-grandchildren, Carlin, Maddie, Finn and Emmett Shumway and Chase Shumway of Davenport, Wash., and Gracie and Emma Kennicutt of Spokane, Wash.; one sister and her husband, Florence and LaVerle Kesting of Pierce, Neb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Pug; her parents; and two sisters, Laura Powell and Charlotte Koppelman.
