Mallory Jackson and Kevin MacRae have announced their engagement. They plan to be married Aug. 20, 2010, at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeff and Susan Jackson of Baker City. She is a 2002 Baker High School graduate and a 2006 graduate of Willamette University at Salem where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a minor in chemistry.

She is finishing her final year at Pacific University College of Optometry, and will graduate in May 2011 with a Doctorate of Optometry degree.

MacRae is the son of Ken and Pam MacRae of Reedsport. He is a 1996 Reedsport High School graduate. In 2000, he earned a business degree in management information systems from Oregon State University at Corvallis. In 2004, he received a Master of Arts degree in teaching from Western Oregon University at Monmouth.

He teaches math at McKay High School and is an assistant men’s basketball coach at Willamette University.
