NEWPORT, R.I. – Elizabeth Anne Bordeaux, a former Baker County resident, earned another 4.0 GPA for the last semester at Salve Regina University, a private Catholic institution in Rhode Island.
Bordeaux expects to graduate on May 16 with a master of science degree in management.
Although the management program generally takes three yeras, Bordeaux will have finished in less than 16 months.
Today she was scheduled to be inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration based on her sustained academic performance.
Bordeaux, a native Oregonian who grew up in Baker County and is a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, has not decided whether to pursue a doctorate.
But she said she is excited about being able to relocate anywhere in the world that a job takes her.
Bordeaux credits local advocates, including close friends, the Baker Soroptimists, PEO, and the Leo Adler Foundation for believing in her from the beginning, and to the extent that financial assistance was forthcoming to help her throughout her educational journey.
