Sarah Newsom and Jason Cummings of Seattle have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Newsom is the daughter of Lynn Blackmore of Phoenix, Ariz. She is employed with Family Resource Home Care.

Cummings is the son of Phyllis Cummings of Baker City. He is a 2001 Baker High School graduate, and is employed by Rebuilding Together Seattle, a nonprofit organization.

The couple was engaged on Dec. 30, 2009, and plan to have a wedding on April 30, 2011.
