Major Bart Bonar, a 1991 graduate of Baker High School, was recently selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel by the United States Air Force.

Bonar, a 1995 graduate of Oregon State University, recently completed Air Command and Staff College as an exchange officer with the Chilean Air Force in Santiago, Chile. He is currently the Chief of the Interagency Outreach Division for Headquarters European Command, Stuttgart, Germany.

He is the son of Ron and Amalia Bonar, former Baker City residents. He and his wife, MaryAnn, have two sons, Joshua and Caleb.
