Robert and Catharine Ott will celebrate their 70th anniversary with a reception Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Baker United Methodist Church, 1919 Second St., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is hosted by Robert Ott of Portland and Billy and Carmen Ott of Baker City.

The Otts request that guests “only bring greetings and warm wishes and please no gifts.”

Robert and Catharine were married Dec. 2, 1939, in Weiser, Idaho. In attendance were Catharine’s sister, Shirley Leggett Guyer, Robert’s brother Donald Ott, Catharine’s mother Virgie Leggett and Robert’s mother Fay Ott.

They were married by the Rev. Frey of Weiser.
