David W. Hull, a 2004 graduate of Baker High School, was recently promoted to staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.

After returning from a deployment to Afghanistan, he eared the expert infantryman badge with a perfect score. He attended the Warrior Leadership School, and was selected for the Commandant’s List for Excellence.

Sgt. Hull was then selected by the Army for recruiter duty assignment in Wisconsin.

Hull is the son of Vernon and Heidi Hull of Baker City.
