Erin Brookshire and Shane Lair have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Walt Brookshire and Vicki Edmundson, both of Baker City. She is currently teaching language arts and math at Baker Middle School.

The groom-to-be is the son of Gary and Sue Lair of Haines. He is currently employed by Mountain Air Helicopters, Inc. based in Los Lunas, N.M.

The couple plan to marry in Baker City in May 2010.
